I really do wonder just how severe a mental health condition needs to be, for the public to openly accept a verdict of insanity. They never do, no matter the circumstances. It always must be that they’re evil and faking a condition.

@6:33: Some people might take that as a "bad omen". I know women in my family, specially my mom would. Also, they would do a very bad job of hiding the fact that they think it a bad omen to put nothing in the place of an object that was supposed to represent the baby. People can be (understandably) very touchy about baby related stuff.

St Rita of Cascia is quite known saint of Catholic Church and she prayed for death of her grown up sons because they were not following 'God's ways'. This story reminded me of her. At least she left it in God's hands and did not decide she knows better when her children should die.

The way the prosecutors split the murders and only tried her for 3, saving the other two for rainy day is incredibly disturbing to me. It shows they don't care tiny bit about justice, they just want to win the case and nail this woman. I absolutely cannot exercise during my period. I have POTS (which means my blood volume is already low) and adenomyosis, endometriosis, PCOS, fibroids, cysts etc (which means I bleed A LOT on my periods and they are very long 10+ days). I faint just by sitting on the toilet during my periods, which means it would be very dangerous for me to exercise on my period lol. I am already disabled and sick with multiple disabilities and health issues including cancer, so exercise is already very hard. What sucks is that my periods come every 20 days or less and I almost never get a break between bleeding! I also cannot swim on my period. It's so heavy that I need to be in diapers and I would turn the water red, period swimwear doesn't hold up to this kind of blood loss and I have vaginismus so no menstrual cups or tampons either which would get soaked pretty fast anyway... Cannot wait to yeet my uterus and start hydrotherapy!!

While I think she did commit a horrible crime, I'm not just going to look over the fact that Andrea not only knew she needed help and was a danger to herself and her children, but was either ignored or flat out kept from getting the help and treatment she needed. All because of her husband's religious beliefs, I don't care what religion you follow or what God you believe in. But you can't use that kind of stuff just for your own agenda or for your twisted version of how you think life, or mental illnesses should be. This is why we need to prioritize mental health, especially for mothers in general.

This is so sad and health care socks. I'm 51 and been on teen care for 10 years. I can't absorb iron and need infusions every 3 months. A few months ago I got dropped from tenn care. They said I no longer apply. I've needed iron since April. I appealed and no. I've tried disability and told no. I asked my hospital if I could be put on a payment plan. Told no. Can't find an insurance that I can afford that doesn't have a large premium that has to be paid first. My last try was I went to the er and was told they can't give infusions. My ferritin was 6 in April. So I'm literally sitting here waiting til my heart gives out.

My first was a c section due to high blood pressure at 36 weeks…I wanted a natural birth but was told the only way my bp was going to stabilize was to get my baby out…I really want a vbac and experience vaginal birth but I’m scared and hate hearing the risks! 😢

So I've had MANY bad experiences where doctors have gaslit me and put my life at risk, and I've also had experiences with doctors who were really compassionate and willing to answer all my questions...and yes, I agree that it has more to do with the individual person than their biological sex... HOWEVER, in regard to areas like FEMALE-specific sexual and reproductive health, I do very much believe that this is a legitimately important factor to consider when choosing a doctor! Like, personally, the thought of male OB/GYN's gives me the creeps. 🫣 I've had experiences with both female AND male gynecologists, but idk...something about lying there while a dude I'm not intimate with gets to be all up in my lady bits always made me feel super uncomfortable and borderline violated, even though they always seemed very nice and professional about it... Also, for me at least, the male ones always left me feeling like my concerns were dismissed as being "normal" or "not that big of a deal" since I wasn't ready for kids yet when, in reality, I had undiagnosed PCOS that didn't get recognized until 14 years AFTER I initially started asking why my periods were so irregular! Of course, this isn't to say other people's opposite preferences are any less valid than mine... I just think it's really important to note that everyone's comfort levels and experiences are different when it comes to their personal healthcare, and just because THEY feel more comfortable with only seeing doctors of a specific gender doesn't necessarily mean they think ALL doctors that don't identify that way are bad! (Though, even if they did, that's still no reason to imply that they're wrong in some way for only wanting to go to people they can feel SAFE being vulnerable around! As long as they aren't actively trying to stop certain people from being able to practice medicine, based solely on their demographics, then it really isn't anybody's place to tell someone not to feel uncomfortable seeking medical advice from doctors they don't think they can trust... 🤷‍♀️)
